Larry Snider is an economic geologist with over 28 years of experience in the resource modeling and project evaluation of precious and base metal deposits. Larry is based out of Salt Lake City and has been a Senior Resource Modeler at Forte Dynamics for the last two years.

For the last 13 years, he worked for Barrick/Nevada Gold Mines where he led a team responsible for the estimation and reporting of all resource models in the prolific Cortez District (~25 million Au ounces of reserves and resources at EoY 2020). While at Barrick, Larry also worked in the North America regional group where he provided support for Golden Sunlight, Bald Mountain, Ruby Hill, Pueblo Viejo, Hemlo, Round Mountain, Marigold, and other development projects. Prior to Barrick, Larry worked for Queenstake Resources, Kinross Gold, and Plexus Resources.

Larry has emphasized new resource estimation approaches such as local varying anisotropy (LVA), which is very effective at leveraging geologic controls on determining metal distribution in a deposit. Comprehensive modeling of chemical characteristics using ICP, and Leco assay data has been routinely used to aid ore and waste material routing and aid metal recovery development. Larry places an emphasis on the quality and usability of drilling and production sampling that can be used on the development of mineral resource model. He has worked at projects and site evaluations across the United States and Canada and in Colombia, Zambia, and Bulgaria.
